Welcome To University Place

Thank you for visiting our website. University Place is a family-friendly community, with the natural beauty of many acres of common land, sixteen ponds, two nature trails, two wonderful pool recreation facilities and a children’s playground for your enjoyment. Just across Cooper Creek Boulevard from the front gate you will find a playground, lighted tennis court and a large meadow also available to you.

University Place is a wildlife habitat with many preserves and a variety of wildlife, including animals, birds and reptiles.

Two entities govern University Place: The Homeowners’ Association (HOA) and a Community Development District (CDD). The five HOA Board members are residents who are elected annually and oversee the day-to-day running of University Place, with the help of our HOA professional manager, Stephanie Curtis.

Governance

The CDD is an independent special purpose unit of local government established pursuant to and governed by Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The five members of its Board are all University Place residents. Among other things, the CDD is responsible for the basic infrastructure of University Place, including the roads, irrigation system, and the security gates on Cooper Creek Boulevard and Honore Avenue.

We are an active community, with many social events for all ages, which give you an opportunity to meet other residents. Watch the bulletin boards at the exit gates, the e-mails from our HOA manager, and our website.

Always feel free to call Stephanie in her office, located at the Charles Town Landing Recreation Center just inside the front gate, or drop by to see her. She is normally in the office in the morning hours, and often there at other times. Phone calls to her are returned promptly. She is a great source of information for you.
